Vital Records
The Lake County Vital Records Department is
located within the Recorder's Office in
the Lake County Courthouse.
The Vital Records Department operates as a Local Issuance Office authorized by the Minnesota Department of Health Office of Vital Records to issue certified birth & death records, marriage licenses and marriage certificates, record ordination credentials and notary commission registrations and is a repository for Military Discharge Records.

Applications are accepted until 4:10 p.m.
The Lake County Recorder's Office and Vital Records Department are
unable to accept credit/debit cards.
Cash or check payments are accepted.
Information regarding birth and death certificates, marriage licenses and marriage certificates, ordination records, notary commission registration, military discharge records and genealogy information can be obtained from this department.
