23rd Annual Area III Envirothon

The Area Envirothon is an environmental competition for high school teams to challenge their environmental knowledge and problem solving skills.  Five learning stations are presented by natural resource professionals in the fields of forestry, soils, water quality, wildlife, and a current events topic.  In addition, students will be asked to make a 10-minute oral presentation on the current event issue.

The contest takes place in an outdoor setting.  Teams are composed of five students from the same school or organization.  At each station, teams are given a short presentation and must then answer 20 questions specific to that station.

The top three to five teams, depending on the number of registered teams, will proceed to the State Envirothon competition, which will be held in southeastern Minnesota this year.
