Lake Superior North and South watersheds civic engagement
This project is to support Lake County Soil and Water Conservation District in engaging citizens to participate in efforts for enhanced water quality in the Lake Superior South (LS South) Lake Superior North (LS North) watersheds. Lake County SWCD will lead and carry-out civic engagement in the early stages of the Watershed Restoration and Protection Strategies (WRAPS) process in the Lake Superior North, South, and Cloquet River watersheds. This project will also allow for water chemistry monitoring assistance and diagnostic field work that will fill identified monitoring gaps and stressors within the LS South watershed. The project will be integrated with the agency-led WRAPS process and funded by the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency.
