Sharps disposal options in Lake County
Lake View Medical Clinics in both Silver Bay and Two Harbors now accept needles, lancets and syringes (sharps) during business hours. Just check in with the registration office at either location.
Sharps must be placed in puncture-resistant plastic with leak-resistant sides and bottom, such as an empty laundry detergent bottle with a screw-on lid. Do not store them in glass bottles, aluminum cans or coffee cans. Label them as medical waste before bringing them in for disposal.
