Learning Opportunities Through Stories (LOTS)
The North Shore Collaborative’s Learning Opportunities Through Stories (LOTS) program had another successful program, distributing over 1,100 books. Over the summer, we read Ten Wriggly, Wriggly Caterpillars, Very Hungry Caterpillar’s Favorite Words, Clark the Shark’s Tooth Trouble, Bear’s Loose Tooth, What if You Had Animal Hair?, and Sleepy ABC Boardbook. Along with reading fun books, we made crafts, participated in fun activities, and met new friends! The North Shore Collaborative would like to thank the following for their generous financial contributions to the 2024 LOTS program: Cooperative Light and Power Operation Round Up, the North Shore Health Care Foundation, and the Two Harbors Area, Silver Bay Charitable, and Cook County Community Funds, affiliates of the Duluth-Superior Area Community Foundation.
LOTS is an early literacy program for children birth through age five. This FREE program has been offered every summer since 2009 and has distributed over 15,000 books during that time.
