Document Alert
Document Alert Service
Lake County is pleased to announce that, as part of our commitment to supporting you in managing your property, we are offering a free Document Alert service to keep constituents informed of when documents are recorded using their information. This service will send automated email alerts any time a document is filed in the County Recorder’s Office using your name or your property’s parcel number. You can then review whether the recording is legitimate or possibly fraudulent and take the necessary actions. Interested parties will need to enroll by setting up an account at www.idocmarket.com or can contact our office for further information at (218) 834-8347
- Documents included in the alerts will be title transfers/Deeds, Mortgages, Liens, or any other document containing the property owner’s name(s) and parcel code provided
- Recordings are verified on a nightly basis, triggering the creation of automated emails detailing potential fraud situations
- Alerts are offered at no charge to the participants. However, if the property owner wishes to View or print an image of the actual document, they must do so through iDocMarket and will be subject to a $6.00 access fee at that time. Or, they can contact our office with any questions at (218) 834-8347
