Torrens Property
Torrens Title Definition
Torrens is a system for registration of land under which, upon the landowner’s application, the Court may, after appropriate proceedings, direct the issuance of a Certificate of Title. The Certificate of Title is then kept in the office of the Registrar of Titles.
If you are filing documents for Torrens (or Registered) property, your documents may need review and approval by the Torrens Examiner of Titles based on statutory requirements as governed by Chapter 508 of Minnesota Statutes.
